Accurate Models
Accuracy matters. DMD-31 resin delivers high precision with minimal shrinkage - ideal for implant models, digital wax-ups, and removable dies.
Create a Professional Look
First impressions are vital in dentistry, and DMD-31 helps you make a great one with its professional color options. Available in beige (A2) and light grey, these colors are designed to be visually appealing and suitable for various dental applications.
Precision Dental 3D Printing
In dental 3D printing, accuracy is non-negotiable. DMD-31 resin is engineered to meet the exacting standards of dental professionals. With low shrinkage rate, it ensures that your dental models retain precise dimensions for applications such as implant models, digital wax-ups, and removable dies.
Streamlined Workflow
Time is a precious resource in any dental practice, and DMD-31 helps you make the most of it. With post-curing times ranging from 5 to 20 minutes depending on your station, this rapid turnaround increases your productivity, allowing you to handle more cases efficiently.
Dental 3D Printing Workflow with Post-Processing
Prepare Your Model
Import the STL, orient properly, and add supports if needed. Hollow models where appropriate to save material.
Print with Correct Settings
Use validated printer settings for your specific resin and printer. Maintain room temperature around 22–25 °C.
Post-Processing Made Simple
Wash the print in isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or an approved cleaner for 2–3 minutes.
Dry thoroughly using compressed air or allow to air dry.
Post-cure under UV light as recommended (typically 5–15 minutes).
Remove supports carefully to avoid damaging model.
Polish or finish as needed, depending on application.
Quality Check and Use
Inspect for accuracy, surface finish, and stability before delivering or casting.
Frequently asked questions
High precision
DMD-31 DLP dental model resin produces dimensionally accurate and stable prints. That makes it perfect for various dental applications. Due to its stiffness and a fair amount of hardness it can sustain straight edges, produce accurate implant models and print out even the most complicated features. Supports do not bend during printing, keeping the model in place throughout the whole printing session and giving a higher rate of success with complex prints. Also it exhibits low shrinkage of less than 0.9% so the print will not deform during post-curing stage and will not crack over a long period of time.
Surface and color
Material is available in beige (A2) and grey colors. Carefully pigmented to get ideal color that expresses the most intricate details. Color is almost fully opaque. Surface is glossy and hard (90 Shore D). After post-cure it does not feel sticky or tacky and is pleasant to touch.
Post-curing slightly changes the color of 3D printed models. Longer post-curing will make models a bit more yellow. If you want to keep the original color, post cure for 5-10 minutes only.
Beige LAB color values:
- before post-curing: L = 76, a = 2.2, b = 14
- after 30 min. post-curing: L = 76, a = 2.6, b = 13.5
Grey LAB color values:
- before post-curing: L = 76, a = -2, b = 0
- after 30 min. post-curing: L = 74, a = -1, b = 2.8
Moisture and chemical resistance
Water absorption is around 0.2%. This means, that your models will not deform due to moisture or exposure to IPA.
Printing tips
For a successful print, we recommend:
- Level your build plate.
- If it’s your first print with this resin, print something small first. We recommend this model.
- Find initial printing settings here: AmeraLabs resin settings. Or if you are using Asiga 3D printers, you can download profiles from Asiga’s website.
- Use support column thickness of 1.5-2mm, support tip thickness of 0.4-0.6mm.
- Use attachment layer.
- Hollow your models.
- Use slower lift speeds. 5mm/min for bottom layers, 40-60mm/min for normal layers.

Cleaning procedure
Viscosity of this material is relatively low – around 400cps at 25°C – so cleaning is quite easy.
If you do not have ultrasonic cleaner or prefer cleaning with ordinary IPA baths, here is our easy 4 steps cleaning procedure:- After taking your printed object off the build plate leave it submerged in the IPA bath for 2 minutes.
- Swirl the IPA bath with printed part in it actively for another 2 minutes.
- After swirling, leave it still, but fully submerged for another 2 minutes.
- Finally, swirl the bath actively again for 2 minutes.
Evaluate cleaning results and repeat this procedure only once (if needed) with clean IPA.
If you prefer cleaning with ultrasonic cleaner, we recommend to put a printed part into the container with IPA, close it well and put
the container into the ultrasonic cleaner filled with water. Leave it for no more than 5-10 minutes without additional heating. If you use Wash and Cure station, leave the printed object submerged in IPA for 5 minutes. Depending on the results, you can repeat this step again and leave for additional 3 minutes.
Post-curing procedure
It is easier to remove supports before post-curing. However, you can also post-cure a print with supports and remove them later. Depending on the model this can help to obtain better geometries if you have such goal. Post-curing time depends on your curing station, it can vary from 5 to 20 minutes. You should post-cure immediately after cleaning and drying. After proper post-curing, surface of DMD-31 printed objects should be completely non-sticky and very hard to scratch.
